I somehow forgot to post last week, I'm not quite sure how that happened, so this week gets two weeks worth of progress, meaning that I instantly get to show of a page finish, along with a (tiny) bit of progress across the entire top row of colours. I've added one colour across the entire row of pages and then finished one page off completely. Considering few colours there are in this with it being monochrome (I think only 18, but I've already put it away so I can't check) I can't believe how smoothly the colours are blending in that first little swirl and flower on the right side. So it's tucked away, something with colour has now come out to play.
A bit of this, mostly stitching, films and books but a bit of my random thoughts thrown in.

Last update of the year, and the year in review!
So here's my last update for the year (and you know what that means, New Year - New Start - decisions decisions).
Cara Mia is growing, although in a slightly grey way, although I suspect that will be the theme of this piece... who'd have thought it!
And secondly, the year in review... what has and hasn't happened?

And secondly, the year in review... what has and hasn't happened?
This blanket was started while I was away as a nice portable project, I'm willing to accept that it hasn't really grown yet.
This is Belle, more commonly known as 'The Beast' and she was 2016s New Year - New Start
Cara Mia, Mon Chere was a restart after making a mistake in 2016
Cut Thru will be a gift and is probably the only new start that I can actually justify
Dragon Rider before
And after, not a big difference, but at least there is a difference!
This was my wedding present to Ben, and was the bane of my life, but I'm quite proud of the result.
This was a baby present for the friend, the border was also not my favouite by the end.
Yet another blanket
And yet another, there's a chance that I need some kind of intervention
Sailor Moon, yet another new start.
Spirited Away, I have a problem, this may have also been a new start
This one has been about for years, and I finally finished the second lady, thanks to a SAL with some friends.
Wedding crafts, you would not believe how long all the flowers for my bouquet took to make
And finally, the wall of shame, here are the things that have not been touched this year! There's a chance that I hadn't realised quite how shameful my wall of shame actually was... but, my stitching and crochet makes me happy, so I'm just going to hold on to that fact, and in the mean time, here are the pretty pictures to look at. I should probably be ashamed of how many you can't actually identify from their picture but never mind... I love my hobby, and hopefully I will have more time this, with not having a wedding to organise, and I'm hoping that work will settle down at least a little bit this year!

Ooopsie
I know, a bit weird to be posting this on Christmas eve, but I'm trying to keep it up.
Another new start ma have appeared in my life, but in many ways this isn't a new start, it's a restart, after this one was put into the naughty corner about a year and a half ago when I made a mistake on it that would have taken me far too long to unpick and redo. I am not, technically past where I was when I threw a strop at it originally. So, they're back, I do love this chart!

A little stitching time
It's not much, but I've managed to get a bit of stitching done, still all in the same colour, so it's nice easy block stitching, everything under the line is the same colour, so it's mindless, which seeing as we're quite busy at work at the moment is a good thing. I have also crocheted this week, but it's just the continuation of the blanket, so there isn't much to show really, and I'm ripping out another blanket which is taking a very long time because the fibre's are very lose, so I'm having to work it very carefully!
However, I did have one finish last week, (I'd completely forgotten, how is that possible).
I can't believe I forgot this, I've been taunting you with this little dude for a couple of weeks, so here he is all done, this is Groot!

Bits and Bats
The title says it all, I have lots of little bits of progress this week, a few rows of blanket mean that I finally feel like I'm closer to finishing to starting, woohoo. I do love the colours on this, and I finally feel like I've made peace with the pattern, it doesn't seem to taper in the way that it was, this is now bad photography not bad crochet!
Secondly the second post of 'can you guess what it's going to be yet?' I'm seeing progress, but I'm aware that to most people it looks like a flower pot, and I'm not even going to comment on what the two small bits on the left look like to me at the moment, if you have a filthy mind you'll probably get there too. Hopefully by next week you'll actually be able to vaguely see what it's meant to be.
Finally, my stitching is back out. I've just scrolled back and the last time I posted something that was for me was mid May, so six weeks ago. It feels like longer, so I'm just grateful that I am finally working on it again. this is now the full bottom width of Cara Mia Mon Chere, I know it doesn't look like anything yet, but I can see the shape, and that makes me happy! Oooh, and I got a new kits last week (ooops), Medusa Dollmaker did a Princess Bride artwork and Gecko got permission to chart it as a limited edition. It arrived and I love it, and I'm having to work quite hard at not instantly starting it, although it has been added to my start soon list, I'm very excited!
