Yup, definitely a banner!

Finished the banner, which is good, because that's what I was aiming for this week. I haven't had much time for stitching this week because life has got in the way a bit, but my extreme slackness can be justified, and I'll explain in a moment. In the mean time, yup, definitely a banner, finished it last night. I was debating whether the writing looked odd because it's in one strand when the writing on the squares is in two, but I think it actually looks okay. It was pretty simple, after doing the outlines for the three shades of blue, and doing the capitals and spoons it was all simple filling in.
So, the reason for my slackness... after far too long I restarted my driving lessons a few weeks back and had to re-take my theory test, which was this morning, so I've been revising for that all week, but I passed, so that makes it all okay.
And in other news, I need to get the Dictionary finished and off the frame because the frame needs freeing up again, because friends have just announced that they're expecting in January. A chart has been chosen for them, so it's simply a matter of getting the Dictionary finished and off the frame and making sure that I've got the supplies I need for a new chart. Poor Little Snap Dragon, he's always getting evicted for other charts that need completing, and this time he's not even going to make it back on to the frame, he'll be replaced straight away.
Anyone else having serious trouble resisting the HAED sale by the way? I'm contemplating a little congratulations present to myself!

Oh yeah, and in answer to comments after my post last week, I don't think that there's anything wrong with my blogger dashboard, it just looks like it's been completely redesigned and I don't like it at all. To my mind it's more fiddly to use, especially when it comes to scrolling through and reading other people's blogs, but I don't seem to see a way of changing it back to the old dashboard.

I can't resist an HAED sale. Picked up two charts last night! I do love my HAEDs, lol. I have about twenty or more and that doesn't include the freebies!! I have three in various stages of progress. I'm sorry you can't get your little snap dragon back on the frame. He will get finished eventually though. Hope you get your baby sampler done in time. Which chart did you pick? Can't wait to watch your progress!!! Also, grats on passing your theory test. That means you can move on to actual driving with a teacher, right? Awesome!!!

The banner looks great, i love the whole thing but it's making want a cup of tea too.
I gave in on the HEAD sale and bought the 1 is was thinking about Faery from Nadia Strelkina, so that's 3 to stitch, only this 1 really has to wait till i'm halfway with Home.

Hugs Yvon.

ROFL at Joysze!

I love the little snapdragon, I've wanted him for ages. I think he needs some love and attention!

Luckily for my wallet, stitching the HAEDs doesn't appeal to me. I love the designs but the actual stitching isn't my bag. I am so lucky I can stitch them vicariously through my blog friends!

What a lovely banner! Your dictionary is coming along splendidly. Good luck getting it done in time for the new project.
I TRIED to resist the sale, but I caved at the last minute. I only bought two, though. So not so bad.

Oh, you're not the only one having those troubles with haed XD
The dictionary looks great! Can't wait to see it in all of its beauty and your new project too, but, oh the poor dragon! :D

The banner looks great and well done on passing your test.
As for HAED designs, I have purchased the seven sins and have started two of them and have purchased the fabric to do them on, and as I have at least one of each color of DMC I am good to go!!!! I am planning on having them all on the go (hangs head in shame).
I don't really need another SEVEN wips on my wip list, but resistance where I am concerned is futile.

LOL @ Aussie Stitcher. I have all seven of the sins too, and love them all. I want to start them all, but I'm limiting myself. I have seventeen projects in my rotation now. So I'm adding to that Lust, Envy, and Vanity (pinkish red, green, and purple). Then, as I finish other things, I'm gonna work the other sins in. Once they're all in, every time I get a finish I will drop that space in my rotation and have one less thing in it. Can't wait to see your progress piccys though!!
