I meant to finish this page this week, but it didn't quite happen. However I did manage to finish all the confetti so all that's left for this page is the black now, so hopefully should be finished in the next couple of days.
I'm loving the castle! As per usual when you've got your nose three inches away from it you can't really see what's developing. Now that I look at the picture I can see the shading and the shape of the castle when it was just a bit of a grey shmush when I was working on it!
I have a question... I set myself targets to finish by the end of the year, and unless some kind of miracle happens, I'm not going to achieve them so, what do I do?
Do I pick one or two to concentrate on so that I can achieve some of my targets and let some others fall by the wayside
OR
Do I continue to work on each of them and get each one closer to where I was aiming to be?
I've got one that I've got to finish, the birth sampler needs to be finished by the end of the year because you can't ask a little dude to wait to be born, but other than that I've got no time limits to work to.
I will actually do a second post later, I went to see the incredible DrumChasers last night because I knew someone who was in it, so I've promised that I'll put a review together for them, so second post to follow! Hope everyone has a good weekend and that the rugby fans aren't shouting at the TV as much as Ben is!

Well, if I were you, I would choose one or two projects and try to achieve your targets on them. That way I'd get the feeling that I've achieved some of my goals. And remember, life happens, this is only a hobby. Goals or targets aren't everything, the most important thing is to enjoy the journey :) Maybe you should set some pretty easy targets for next year (this is what I always do), so there won't be any pressures.
Your castle has really come to life and you're really close to finish the page congratulations :)
as per hoosing to ditch some goals or just keep working I think it will depend on what you really want, if you want to look back and get the feeling that you've accomplished some of the goals you set for yourself, I would say, focus on just a few projects, if you just have your goals as a sort of guideline and doesn't matter if you achieved them or not, and you're enjoying stitching on all projects and actually don't want to stop any specific one, then keep up with all and just enjoy how much you have stitched :)
Great progress on Dragon Rider!
I hate deadlines, so I don't set them for myself anymore. If it was me, I'd just stick with my rotation and never mind when the projects get finished.
Dragon Rider is looking great!
And I agree with Heli. This is your hobby and is supposed to be fun, not stressful. Deadlines are for work! Have fun and work on what you want when you want. However, I am looking forward to seeing your progress on this piece, lol.
Wow that tree is nearly done!! It's looking so great! Keep at it!!
That's one cute castle! Your page is looking great!
I'd pick my favorite project and try to finish my goal on it? That's what I'm doing with mine, 'cause no way are my 2011 goals gonna get done.
