The first column of Dragon Rider

I finished the first column of Dragon Rider, I'm so excited (it's probably quite sad just how excited actually). I'm going to work across the bottom now, which means that the next page will have motorbike on it, even more excited!
I'm loving the fact that I can now see the path properly, and the fern crossing the path, and I am (as Topcho said as she commented last time) completely in love with the little mushrooms. They haven't come out very well on the photo because of the flash but trust me, in real life, they're adorable.
I'm a little concerned, the line down the left isn't very straight, I think my photography isn't helping matters, it's not as bad in life, but it is there. I'm hoping that it's something that I can stretch out, and that's it's just where I've not put it on the frame properly, but if anyone can offer any advice I'd be grateful.
And who else has had sersious issues with the HAED sale? I caved and bought two (Smartie Pants by Hannah Lynn and Enchanted Evening by Rebecca Sinz). I'm not sure about the pink background on Smartie Pants, but it's only two colours so I'm thinking of converting it to purple instead. Still girly but not as painfully girly (and also, closer to the original colours on Hannah Lynn's site. For those of you on facebook, how many of your favourite artists have to linked to - I think I officially class as an artist stalker!). And the day after the sale Michele releases three more that I really want. Charka Fae by Linda Ravenscroft, Hope by Rebecca Sinz and So Many Books So Little Time by Randal Spangler. I love the colours of the Ravenscroft one, I've really liked the Sinz one, ever since I saw it on her site, and So Many Books So Little Time is just me, I've got a to read heap that's so big it runs the entire length of my bed and half way across the foot as well.
Happy Stitching (and reading) all.

Your stitching is wonderful. The line not being straight isn't that noticeable and I would think that once it is washed that will sort itself (though I wouldn't swear it as I have not finished a HAED).
I too loved Charka Fae by Linda Ravenscroft so I caved and bought it but I got it in the sale must have just managed it.

Congrats on the column finish!

I'm totally in love with Melody by Myka Jelina. It's one of today's new ones and if the sale was still on, I'd buy it immediately. Now I'll have to wait till the next sale... I'm thinking of stitching her on black without the background to have some nice conrast between her and her background to make her "pop out" more.

Your stitching look great. Have you tried ironing it out? The same thing was happening on my HAED and it looked wonky but after I tried that it seemed to bring it back. Nice new charts. Have you thought about getting some hand-dyed material to stitch smartie pants on and leave the background of altogether?

I know exactly what you mean about being excited. As you've read on my blog i can't wait to start the first Dragling on Train of dreams. I am actually itching to go ahead and start him now before i finish the rest of page 3. But i am trying to be a good girl. ;-) I honestly don't know how long that's gonna last. Lol

Lol glad you share the love for the mushrooms! XD The whole collumn is gorgeous and don't worry about the line, I'm sure that once everything is finished, washed and ironed it'll be gone!

Great work on DR! Love Spangler's Dragons (ALL of them)! Don't worry about that little bit of crookedness, it all comes out in the wash, at the end. When you wash and block it, it'll be fine. Talk about having a problem with the HAED Sale... I don't even want to talk about it. I did get Charka, how could I resist? I like your idea of changing the background color on Smartie Pants. Can't wait to see that!
