A Little Update

I was going to say that I haven't done as much as I was hoping to this week, especially considering I had a day off, and that's true I haven't, but looking at the picture now I've actually realised that I've done more that I though I had.
I've pretty much finished the mushrooms, which is very exciting (for me anyway).
It's quite a funny page, it looks quite stripey because the path is across the bottom of the whole piece, but I've only just realised that that's why it's stripey!
In other news (and the reason I had some time off) is that we've discovered that I really can't ski. I haven't broken any limbs, which means that I did actually do better than I expected, but it turns out that I am what skiing cartoon characters are based on, I actually managed the cartoon favourite where you go down the hill and hit a tree with one arm and one leg on either side, although I used the end of a padded wall rather than a tree. So, as that shows, I was truly terrible. I've decided that I'm going to try snow boarding instead, because skiing and I really didn't suit each other. Although amusingly I didn't manage to injure myself skiing, which I thought I would, but I walked home in the cold after work yesterday and went flying on the ice and injured myself, bruised knee and hip, and haven't quite worked out what I've done to my ankle yet. So it turns out that walking home from work is more dangerous than skiing like a cartoon character.

Great progress on your crosstitch. It is looking amazing. Hope you are feeling better from your fall. Slip on the ice is no fun.

Yay, muchrooms! XD Dragon rider looks great. And skiing is pure evil. I tried it only once and although I couldn't do the tree thing, I went down backwards the hill and couldn't stop myself. I'm def not doing this ever again. I hope your ankle is all right and you feel fast from the fall :)

I hope that you feel better soon and that your ankle is only bruised also and not really damaged.
Take care of yourself and have fun with your stitching.
Dragonrider is looking very good!!!

Hugs Yvon.

I think skiing is hard for every newbie, good job trying something new though!

Dragon Rider is looking lovely. I'm very glad you didn't hurt yourself skiing and I hope you have much better luck snowboarding.

*offers more ice and soothing tea* Sorry you got hurt on the ice walking home.

great progress on dragon rider. Isn't that just the thing ... the simple walk home is more dangerous than the snow!

You did a whole heck of a lot! I've never gone skiing but I expect my experience would be much the same as yours.

Good progress =)

Ski is nothing for me either. I managed to twist my leg when I tried it for the first time, still can't figure out how the hell THAT happened, but afterwards me and skiing were pretty done with each other...

Sorry to hear that you got hurt, I hope you feel better soon!

It's looking great, stripes and all :D
Ouch for the fall - and you're quite brave for trying. I can't see me EVER on skies!
