Dragon Rider and IHASW

Another International Hermit and Stitch Weekend has been and gone, and unfortunately I didn't manage to get much done. One way or another it was a busy weekend so I didn't get much of a chance to. You can see a small smush which, I believe, it going to be a tree trunk, so at least I know what I'm stitching! I try to start these pages with a colour that's relatively spread across the page so I've then got something to count against when I'm adding more colours in. I know it doesn't really look like it at the moment, but this is actually two different colours, although there isn't much of the second colour in there now.
Did everyone who joined in have a good International Hermit and Stitch weekend? I've seen loads of progress so far and I hope left comments for everyone that has posted (if I've missed you I'm really sorry), and everyone has made me feel quite ashamed of my tiny amount of progress.
Having said that, I'm off to do some stitching now, have fun all!

We have good weeks and we have good weeks with slightly less progress :) Whenever I'm having a week where I don't get much done I still think of it as every stitch brings me closer so there's no such thing as a bad week.

Also, I too try to get in a color that's fairly spread out so I have a reference point, as I never grid my fabric.

Looks fantastic :) Progress is progress no matter how much it is and sometime life just gets in the way :) The most important thing is that you enjoyed your weekend!

Every stitch counts! Looks great and I can't wait to see more of the dragon wing. I like this pattern a lot and now he is on my wish list!

Ah, so that's how people stitch HAED! You take a colour down, or up, and fill it in . I think you've done lots of progress! I had a great weekend participating and looking forward to future IHSW.

I do it like this to, i tried the blocks of 10 way that a lot of people do, but i like to go on with a color if that is possible.

You did quite a lot over the weekend and i hope to see the treetrunk soon.

Hugs Yvon.

Ahhhh, I think you made great progress, Kim. Those first colors are always the hardest cos they require much more counting to make sure everything is right. It's looking great. :)

A small amount of progress is a step closer to finishing. I love watching this one take shape - happy stitching

Your progress seems pretty good to me! Those dark colours are so painful to stitch.

I'm happy to say I got quite a bit accomplished! You didn't do too badly yourself. I always worry that I'm gonna end up frogging when I stitch cross country, so I rarely do it on big pieces. Hope you're having a great week!

There is no shame in your progress, every stitch counts! I love your coverage, I cannot see any of the white fabric. I cannot wait to see more!

It's looking good to me. I start on a oolour and keep going to the end of that bit of thread and then do the same for the next colour etc. It allows a bit of variety during a stitching session.
Hugs,
Shirl xx

You seem to have made good progress to me. It looks like a huge tree. All progress is progress no-matter how many stitches you manage to put in at a time.

Happy stitching to you.
